Brief

The prompt for this assignment was to create a single function app that falls in a randomized category directed towards the college student demographic. The app should be functional, usable, and pleasurable. Since it is an educational platform, the user should be able to achieve their tasks easier and relieve stress from their work.

Philosophy

ProSend is an app that will aid students in improving their etquette when emailing with teachers in an interactive way.

Brand Story

First we researched UX design and different apps that are successful in communicating their goals. Then we recreated application screens and how they would be interacted with. In the LOFI stages we had to turn our concept into a physical form. Using construction paper and glue we would make a rough model of our app for users to interact with. This would give us feedback to make improvements. Our style tile and design system were the stepping stones for converting the physical to digital. Using Figma we were able to develop screens that are made for the iphone and a working protoype. With this the user could run through the application as though it were a fully
functioning app.

Touchpoints

Takeaways

Diving into UX Design at the beginning was really interesting to me. I loved the challenge that the education theme brought and having to bring a different perspective. At first Figma was intimidating but now I have come to really have an appreciation for it. There are so many interesting tools and the prototyping features which was a big learning experience. The multiple iterations had pros and cons for me. It was tedious, but everytime I got feedback there was something that could be improved which only betters the design.
