Brief

As a team of eight designers, we were tasked with creating a human-centered design published artifact. This means we would be making a project including the community for the community.

Brand Story

“How might we cultivate sustained healing and hope by collaboratively identifying the desires of the Anderson community?” This question was crafted by conversation boxes that were placed throughout the community to gain feedback from residents. Learning more about Anderson and its people led to a publication that sheds light on things that may be overlooked. As a class working with the community we were able to help voices be heard and be salt in the light.

Touchpoints

Conversation boxes were placed in random parts of the community with pens, paper, and prompts. After scanning the responses we formed our how might we statement. This led to our interactive book with fold outs, removable cards, and stickers for each viewer. We also scattered stickers and posters around town to get people questioning.

Takeaways

This process and class just confirmed that people are why I do what I do. There is so much joy in helping others and making their visions come to life. Through this project I was able to meet so many people and have truly become more integrated in the Anderson community.
